Philippians 2:5 – Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
They say the mind is a terrible thing to waste! Today many people have wasted their minds away on numerous substances: drugs, alcohol, power, philosophies, and much more. Our mind is a battle ground for something much larger and more grand than we ever imagined! It is the battleground of a spiritual warfare; the fight between following God or following the world! The thoughts that flow through our head are the true indicator of who we really pledge allegiance to, on the outside we can say the right things but the truth lies within!
As believers we are not to give up on the battle of our minds, we are to persevere and press ahead. But how? By having the mind of Christ! That means that we are willing to become of no reputation: we give up ourselves to the will of God. We don’t constantly crave the power that world tries to offer, instead we seek God’s will. We are also willing to become a servant: we freely choose to serve and worship God. No one forces us to serve and love God, it is to be done from heart that desires God. When we do these two things God can start to work in our life and our minds will become a place where God’s word can dwell.
Strive to have the mind of Christ!
