Did you know that we as people have many different fears? We fear heights, the dark, dogs, spiders, clowns, peanut butter and much more! It seems like fear is just another struggle that we must face.
Proverbs 29:25 – The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.
When we are afraid and have fear it brings a snare into our life, especially when that fear is of other people. How do we fear other people? We fear being rejected, we fear not being accepted, we fear not fitting in, we fear letting them down, we fear their thoughts about us! The problem with all this fear is that it entangles us, and traps us! When we become a victim to fear, fear cripples us! The fear of man will trap us and cause us to never reach our full potential.
How do we overcome this fear? We put it in the hands of God! When we trust or better yet entrust our fear to God we can find safety and protection. Safety and confidence come from a proper relationship with God. When we begin to entrust ourselves to the hand of God we start to see our fears slowly crumble. We no longer need to fear man because we have entrusted ourselves to the hand of God.
Don’t fall victim to fear instead fall into the hand of God!
